【课程概况】

国际普通中等教育是为学生获得国际文凭和ALevel做准备的英语课程。学生们在10年级初开始学习教学大纲，并在11年级末结束时参加考试。大部分IGCSE科目提供分层考试的选择:这是为了使IGCSE适合具有不同水平能力的学生。在全球120多个国家和地区的学生中，学生参与了70多学科的学习。11年级后的学生们(即16到18岁)将学习AS和Alevel考试，为大学入学做准备。学生、家长和教学人员就学生的课程选择和个人项目，再次进行讨论。剑桥考试委员会提供的考试是国际公认的和接受的，并被认为是进入世界各地大学的黄金标准。

Mary Prindi

Mary Prindi was born into a family of educators – her father being a senior school Headmaster and her mother both teaching and undertaking education-based research at the local university. Mary Prindi was educated in Hampshire and Norwich, later an English Literature BA (Hons) at Durham University. Whilst in Durham, she also completed a TEFLA (Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults) qualification at the Durham Language School.

After graduating from university, she was delighted to spend two years in eastern Europe. During her time there she taught English in both Primary and Senior Schools and gave adult conversation classes.

After returning to the United Kingdom, she gained her PGCE teaching qualification from the University of East Anglia – specialising in Primary Education and English.

After graduating, she was fortunate to secure a teaching position in a nearby well-respected primary school. During her 18 years at the school, she was the lead teacher for both English and Art. she also maintained her connection with the UEA, and took part in mentoring PGCE students, and in academic research into English teaching methods.

Julie majored in Business English so she started her career as a merchandiser in an American company over 6 years.During this period,becaused of her son’s birth,she had strong interest in education,and then she obtained her teaching qualification through self study and then she worked as teaching assist in an English training center for more than one year.

It’s her third year at BIS and she will be teaching secondary. She has approximately twenty-five years’ experience of teaching young people. In the past she has lived and worked in three other countries: Japan, Indonesia and Germany. Over a ten-year period. she enjoyed helping her students learn about the world and appreciate their classmates’ nationality and culture.

Mr. Michael Cheng is from China. He graduated from the Sports Training Faculty of South China Normal University. Michael also obtained a bachelor's degree in Finance.

Michael holds a PE teaching certificate, a coach certificate and various certificates in other professional skills, he has a few years of teaching experience as an intern and a full time PE teacher, He is a national first-class swimmer, too.

Michael Cheng先生毕业于华南师范大学运动训练系，国家一级游泳运动员。同时双修金融学位，获得学士学位。持有体育教师资格证，教练员证以及各类专业技能证书。在校期间，多次发表论文共计四篇。
